Understand equipment operating principles and specifications alongside the typical causes of failure and the conditions that drive maintenance up. Participants learn to identify and confirm fault conditions, and the testing procedures that establish what is actually wrong.
- Be aware of principles of equipment operations and specifications, as well as typical causes of equipment failures and conditions that increase maintenance.
- Understand how to identify and confirm equipment fault conditions; Understand various testing procedures and testing sequences, and the use of test equipment associated with repair/ maintenance procedures.
- Be aware of equipment fault identification and troubleshooting tools and techniques such as Root Cause Analysis and how to utilize them.
- Understand repair/ maintenance procedures associated with various equipment and fault conditions; Understand how to perform equipment repair/ maintenance and recommissioning activities, in line with established procedures and specifications.
- Understand hazards and control measures associated with maintenance of various equipment.
- Understand basic functionalities of the CMMS and how to execute maintenance related tasks on the CMMS.
